Food & Gastronomy

Food in the Dolomites is never simply about what is served on the table.

Savoring Experiences

It is deeply connected to the landscape, the seasons and the people who continue to preserve local traditions. Through long-standing relationships with families, producers, winemakers and private property owners, we create experiences that combine gastronomy, atmosphere and meaningful encounters with the territory.

IThe approach

Around the rhythm of the day.

From cooking classes overlooking the mountains and private tastings inside historic villas to long lunches in vineyards, mountain huts and remote alpine settings, every experience is designed to unfold naturally around the rhythm of the day and the character of each place.

IIEstates & villas

Normally closed to the public.

Some experiences take place within private estates, agricultural properties and historic noble villas normally closed to the public. Guests may enjoy guided visits alongside owners and local hosts before gathering for lunches, seasonal tastings or elegant outdoor meals surrounded by gardens, vineyards and countryside. Depending on the season, experiences may include open-air barbecues beneath centuries-old trees, leisurely lunches inside historic salons or aperitivi overlooking the surrounding landscape.

IIIRemote settings

More remote mountain settings.

Others unfold in more remote mountain settings. Panoramic picnics and private lunches can be arranged in hidden meadows, high-altitude pastures and lesser-known corners of the Dolomites, far from the busiest tourist routes. Traditional mountain huts reached on foot, by e-bike or along scenic drives become the setting for authentic regional cuisine, local wines and spectacular views.

IVThe larin

The heart of the house.

Among the most intimate experiences is an evening inside a centuries-old mountain home where the traditional larin remains the heart of the house. Here, local hosts welcome guests into a world that has changed little over time. Around the fireplace, regional dishes, local wines and seasonal products are shared while stories, traditions and everyday mountain life unfold naturally throughout the evening. The experience may also include a visit to one of the surrounding villages, known for its historic murals and preserved mountain character.

VHands-on

Recipes from local cooks.

Food experiences may also become hands-on. Guests can join private cooking classes inside mountain chalets or outdoor settings overlooking the Dolomites, learning traditional recipes and techniques directly from local cooks. Other experiences include artisan food workshops such as buffalo mozzarella making, cheese production and ice cream preparation, offering a deeper connection to the ingredients and traditions of the region.

VIThe Prosecco Hills

Beyond the mountains.

For those wishing to explore beyond the mountains, experiences extend into the Prosecco Hills, where private wineries and family-run estates open their doors for exclusive tastings, vineyard visits and seasonal lunches. These experiences can be combined with scenic e-bike rides through the vineyards or hands-on workshops dedicated to traditional food production.

VIIExtraordinary access

Gastronomy from the sky.

Some of the most memorable moments combine gastronomy with extraordinary access to the landscape. Guests may reach remote alpine locations by helicopter before enjoying champagne and oyster tastings, private aperitivi or curated lunches immersed in some of the most spectacular scenery of the Dolomites.

Where food becomes a gateway

Every experience is tailored around the season, the atmosphere of the day and the desired pace of each guest, creating meaningful moments where food becomes a gateway into the culture, people and landscapes of Northern Italy.
