The ideas on these pages are not fixed itineraries. They are starting points.

Some things happen only for a few days each year: a local tradition, a village celebration, the return of the animals from the high pastures, or autumn Törggelen among vineyards and old farms.

Others are places and people we come across and simply think are worth knowing.

It might be a mountain-bike journey with stops chosen for what there is to see, taste or discover along the way. Dinner inside an ancient mountain home, spending time with its owner as the meal is prepared. A walk through a village of old farmhouses. A local producer we think you should meet. Or a place we have recently discovered and cannot wait to share.

Some are seasonal. Some happen only on particular dates. Some become part of the experiences you have already seen. And others begin with a conversation.

That is why we do not work with fixed itineraries.

We can change the pace, move the setting, combine different experiences, or build an entire journey around where you are staying, how much time you have and what you want to discover.

Sometimes the most memorable part of a journey is the place you did not know to ask for, the door you would not have known was there, or the person you would not otherwise have met.

That is where we come in.
