On Foot
Through the landscapes of the Dolomites
Some places are better reached slowly.
Walking gives you time to notice things you might otherwise pass by.
We choose the route around what you want to see, how far you want to go and the kind of day you have in mind. It can be a proper day in the mountains, a gentler walk through one particular landscape, or something in between.
In autumn, we might follow a trail through golden larches and changing forests, circle a mountain lake or walk between small villages as the colours reach their best. In winter, boots might give way to snowshoes, with routes through snowy forests, open landscapes and villages that feel entirely different beneath the snow.
Sometimes the destination is a viewpoint or a lake. Sometimes it is a village worth stopping in.
And somewhere along the way, there will be time for the table.
Depending on the route, the season and the weather, that might mean arriving at an old mountain house for lunch by the fire, stopping in a small village for something local, or finding a table prepared outside in the landscape. On another day, we might simply carry on walking and make lunch the destination.
The experience can take other directions too. Yoga before setting off, time with a local cheesemaker, a tasting along the way, or another encounter that makes sense in the place we are passing through.
And it does not have to end in a day.
Spend a few hours discovering the landscape around where you are staying, dedicate a full day to a particular valley, or continue for several days, walking through different parts of the Dolomites and staying somewhere new along the way.
Tell us what you would like to see, how much you want to walk and how much time you have. We will shape the route — and everything that happens around it.

What happens next
Your plans, personally considered.
A member of our team will contact you within 24–48 hours of receiving your enquiry to confirm availability for your preferred date and number of guests, or to discuss the options with you.
Some experiences depend on the season as well as the availability of the people and places involved. If your chosen experience is unavailable on the requested date, or cannot take place during the season of your visit, we will explain this when we get in touch.
If your chosen experience is unavailable, we will suggest alternatives.
Sending an enquiry does not confirm a booking. The experience, date and arrangements will be agreed with you before any booking is confirmed.

Practical matters
How We Work
Every experience is private and quoted individually.
Tell us your dates, where you are staying or where you would like to stay, how many of you are travelling and what interests you. We will come back to you as soon as possible with a tailored proposal, bringing together the experience, the people involved, timings and full price.
Some experiences take a little more time to arrange than others, particularly when private access or several local partners are involved. We'll keep you updated while we put everything in place.
If you are planning several days with us, we will bring everything together into one journey, so you have one clear proposal rather than a collection of separate arrangements.
Booking & Confirmation
Every experience is different, and so are the arrangements behind it.
Your experience or journey is confirmed once your proposal has been accepted in writing and the deposit specified in your proposal has been received.
Payment terms may vary depending on the experience, the services involved and how far in advance you are booking. Everything will be clearly set out in your proposal before you confirm.
Changes & Cancellation
Because many of our experiences involve private access, individual guides, local hosts and services reserved especially for you, cancellation terms vary depending on the experience.
The conditions that apply to your booking, including any deposits, payment deadlines and cancellation charges, will always be clearly stated in your proposal before confirmation.
If weather or mountain conditions affect an experience, we will always look first at whether we can adapt the day, change the timing or arrange a suitable alternative during your stay.
Any specific weather-related cancellation or refund conditions will be included in your proposal.
Weather & Mountain Conditions
The mountains decide more than we do.
Weather, snow and mountain conditions can occasionally change what is possible. When that happens, our job is not simply to cancel your plans, but to reshape them.
Wherever possible, we'll have an alternative in mind and suggest how best to use the day instead.
Some experiences, including helicopter journeys, night skiing, horseback riding and certain mountain activities, are particularly dependent on weather and operating conditions and may require final confirmation closer to the experience.
Skiing & Equipment
If skiing forms part of your day or journey, we can arrange the details around you.
Bring your own equipment, or let us organise ski and snowboard rental, boots, helmets and fitting through selected local partners. For longer ski journeys, we can coordinate equipment, ski passes, private ski professionals and transfers as part of the itinerary.
In Italy, third-party liability insurance is required when skiing on marked alpine pistes. Where available, we can arrange the appropriate cover together with your ski pass.
Children & Families
Many of our experiences can be shaped beautifully around families.
Some lend themselves particularly well to children, from meeting local artisans and cooking together to discovering mountain traditions, while others have minimum ages or specific requirements.
Tell us who is travelling and we will suggest what works best for everyone.
Languages
Savoring works in Italian and English.
The guides, artisans, producers and hosts we work with are local, and helping you communicate with the people you meet is part of what we do.
Other languages can be arranged on request with advance notice.
Accessibility & Dietary Requirements
Tell us as early as possible.
Dietary requirements, specific menus, reduced walking, adapted transport and other individual needs can often be accommodated when we know about them from the beginning.
We will always tell you clearly if a particular experience has limitations that we cannot reasonably adapt.
What The Price Includes
Every proposal is different, so you will always receive a breakdown of what is included before booking.
Depending on the experience, this may include private transfers, guides and other professionals, private access, activities, entrance fees, ski passes, meals and drinks described in the proposal, as well as Savoring's planning, coordination and assistance throughout.
Unless specifically included in your proposal, prices do not cover flights, personal purchases, gratuities or accommodation.
For multi-day journeys, accommodation can be included and arranged as part of your proposal, whether in one of the homes in our collection, selected hotels, or a combination of both.
Insurance
We recommend travelling with appropriate personal travel and medical insurance for the activities included in your journey, particularly for mountain and winter sports.
Certain activities may have specific insurance requirements, which we will highlight during the planning process. Where relevant and available, we can also help arrange activity-specific cover.
